Northern Circuit Power Plant
The Northern Circuit Power Plant (NCP) was envisioned to address the power deficit within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states, supplying direct electricity to industries vital to the region’s macro-economies. NCP is designed as a combined-cycle power plant, utilizing natural gas as its primary input. With a projected net output of six thousand megawatts (6,000 MW), the plant will enhance energy security for its host country, Zambia, and contribute to regional stability as a climate-resilient energy source.
